The process

Four steps, start to finish

Configure and price

Pick your product, enter your sizes and choose your options. The trade price updates as you go, ex and inc VAT.

Order and pay

Add it to the basket, confirm your sizes and pay by card. You get an order number and a confirmation email straight away.

We have it made

Your spec goes to Made for Trade, who manufacture the Korniche range, and is built to your exact sizes.

Delivered to you

Delivered to site or your yard anywhere in mainland UK, with the status on your order the whole way.

Step 01

What you need before you configure

Five minutes of preparation saves the two most common headaches: a price that changes when the real sizes arrive, and a unit that will not fit.

  • Your sizes in millimetres. For doors and partitions that is the structural opening; for rooflights it is the external kerb size.
  • How the doors should work. Number of sashes, which way they fold and which side the master door sits.
  • Your finish. Frame colour, handle colour and glass spec. White is the baseline; other finishes may change the price and the lead time.
  • A delivery address. Site or yard, and someone who can take the delivery in.

Step 02

How your price is worked out

Nothing on this site is a guide price. Each configuration is priced against the current grid for that product, then shown to you in full.

Live prices, not a rate cardEvery figure is calculated from the current price grid when the page loads, so what you see is what you pay.
Both VAT figures, alwaysTrade accounts lead with ex VAT, private buyers with inc VAT. The other figure sits right underneath it.
Delivery before you commitAny delivery charge is shown in the basket and at checkout, not added later.
Options priced honestlyWhere an option genuinely has no fixed price yet, it says so and switches to a quote instead of guessing.

When a configuration goes to quote

Some combinations cannot be priced automatically: a size beyond the published range, a height other than the standard one, or an option our supplier has not given us a price for yet. The configurator says so plainly and swaps the price for a quote request.

Send it and you get a reference immediately. We come back with a firm price, normally within one working day, and you can order from it as usual.

A word on VAT

Trade buyers think in ex-VAT money and consumers are legally entitled to see the price they pay, so we show both everywhere: on product cards, in the configurator, in the basket, at checkout and on the invoice. Which figure is the headline follows the account type you register with, and nothing else.

Step 03

Who actually makes it

We are a trade counter, not a factory, and we are straight about that. Your order is manufactured by Made for Trade, who make the Korniche range: the same aluminium systems, hardware and glass units the trade already fits.

  • Built to the sizes on your order, in the finish you chose.
  • Korniche hardware as standard: multi-point locking, shootbolts and stainless running gear.
  • Checked before dispatch, then packed for transit.

Step 04

What happens after you pay

Your order moves through five stages. The order in your account always shows which one it has reached, and we are in touch as it progresses.

Where to look

Sign in and open your orders. Each one carries the full spec you ordered, the current stage, your card receipt and the invoice.

Need to change something?

Tell us as soon as you can, quoting your order number. Up to the point it is confirmed for manufacture we can usually help. After that it is being cut to your sizes.

Questions

Buying, in more detail

How long does the whole thing take?
Configuring and paying takes a few minutes. Manufacturing is the part that takes time, and it depends on the product, the finish and the glass, so we confirm your date once the order is placed rather than publishing a number that might not hold. A custom powdercoat colour adds noticeably to it, so ask first if the date matters.
Do I have to be a trade customer?
No. Anyone can open an account and order, and the price is the same either way. If you register as a company we lead with ex-VAT prices, and if you register as an individual we lead with the inc-VAT price you actually pay.
Is my card safe?
Your card details are entered into Stripe's own payment fields and go straight to Stripe. They never touch our server and we do not store them. Stripe also holds the card receipt, which is linked from your order.
What do I get for my records?
An order confirmation email with the full spec, a card receipt from Stripe, and a downloadable PDF invoice (re-issued as a VAT invoice once our VAT registration completes). All of it lives on the order in your account.
Can I order several products at once?
Yes. The basket takes bifolds, rooflights and internal doors together, each with its own configuration, and you pay for the lot in one go.
